FYI the 60 series and 62 series do not share the same front bumper. One is thicker where it attaches to the frame rail, can't remember which one

Your right.
The fj62 front bumper is thicker .
The fj60 bumper won't work on the fj62.

The back bumpers are the same.
You can use a fj60 or fj62 on the back.

Not a problem in this case. Since it is going in an Fj68. Being an 80 series frame with a 60 series body on top I will be making brackets for the bumpers anyway...

Anyone got a front bumper laying around?

got a good front bumper (aftermarket I beleave) never mounted. Of course I am about as far away from you as possible.

it was 16bucks to ship one from GA. I wonder what the cost would be coming from CA. I think you can check it online...
