Cracked mine. Anyone have one to get rid of?

Unsure if this is true, but I have also heard that these engines can be dropped in place of a 22r. So perhaps a 22r bellhousing would work -- anyone know more about this?

The transmission cases are the same between the gassers and the turbo diesel but the clutch housing (that is what Toyota calls the bellhousings) are different between the two. I don't know what the exact differences are but they have different part numbers. The 2LT is 31111-22111 and the 22RE is 31111-35010.

The bellhousings are not interchangeable between the R series and L series motors. Everything behind the bellhousing is, but not the bellhousing itself. The starter is on the opposite side (and the bolt pattern is way different...)

But you can otherwise bolt an L series engine up in place of the R series. Motor mounts are the same, clutch is the same, etc...
