I finally put a new oil pressure guage in yesterday after I fried the original by hooking it to the ground instead of the center post on the sending unit.
I was also afraid the wire might rotate and touch the ground post again by accident since there is no insulation cover on the wire clip. So I cut a piece of vacum hose and slid it over the ground tab. Hopefully no more grounding.
