14mm IIRC

Search young Jedi and find the answer, you will.

Seriously, though, it's 24mm. Use a 6 point socket only.

14 is the oil pan drain.

Hmmmm......must purchase new socket size I will. :D Have, I don't that size right now. IIRC 19mm is as large as it goes.

15/16" will do just fine as well, young Jedi. That's what I always use.

OOPs, misread it, thinking oil pan.

That's what I use as well. I also think the 15/16" fits a little tighter than the 24 mm which in the case of the fill and drain plugs is "a good thing".

Hmmm - I've always been a bit paranoid after having stripped a MBZ oil drain plug with the correct mm size years ago.

Ditto!

Don't use a 12 point!!! If it's hard to get loose, you will be sorry - ask me how I know. The metal on those things is soft.

Six point 15/16 safe bet.....

Make sure it's 6 point. 12 point will round the bolt. And much easier to remove with an extension bar esp if it's been on for a long time.
