It's a shame they didn't put very many pictures with it.

Let me know if you want it and need a hand getting it into your possession. I'm in SoCal and would be happy to help you out.

Sweet - I'll have to see how high it goes ... and I still have a set of lower fenders in the garage :D

i like the jungle scene rear cargo panels

i'd sell my 60 for a 55 :D

it looks pretty beat up, is that not a load of bondo on the front fender where it is all cracked? and also around the rear tire well?

That is the way to show a vehicle. Every square inch of it was shot. Well, except the undercarrige, and the roof, and the headliner, and the inside of the tailgat.
It doesn't look beatup to me. For being 34yrs old, it looks pretty darn good. Yes, that fender was bondoed.

I am new to the world of pigs.....how can I tell if this one would make a good DD or not (i been looking at 60's, but this one looks pretty). also, do you all go on big road trips in your 55......i am talking PCH, cross country etc

sweet looking pig! even if the fenders have more bondo than metal.
one thing: the right (pasenger) rear Quarter-panel seems to have a bulged lip at the bottom from the wheel arch to the bumper, almost an extention of the wheel arch. i don't see it on the left rear fender. is this stock? my 11/74 pig dosn't have it, niether does my friends '71.

The worst enemy for a pig is RUST. Finding a good pig with minor or no rust is next to impossible. Places to look for rust are: lower fenders front and rear, rockers, roof (a real killer). tailgate, and lower doors. The fenders can be fixed, but the roof and lower doors are harder to repair. Usually those are just replaced.

The stock drive train is OK. 2f with 4 speed tranny is better than F with 3 speed. Both engines and trannys are underpowered for a pig that weights a couple of tons +! The normal replacement is a SBC 350. The advantage of a SBC are that parts are available anywhere you go. Cruisers parts are not.

Road trips? Sure! Let's do it! Once in a great while someone will come up with a trip, but not it is not common. I would like to see more of these trips for those who don't want to just wheel their pigs. I would like a trip that crosses the country or a few states on the back roads through small towns. Stay off the interstate and take a nice touristry(sic) trip. Camping along the way, just seeing the sites;p

The views expressed above are my own may not reflect the views of the rest the pig community, because they sure will let you know if they don't  ;)

Road Trip, cardinal fang?

I hear that those SBC swaps take, like, 4 years...and you don't take any road trips for those 4 years...While a straight 6 Pig goes to Moab, Pismo, The Rubicon, etc.

That is one decent piggie. I would bid but I just bought one. ;) thanks Dan. But I just dont know if I have seen enough of the pig to truly buy it sight unseen I mean come on who doesnt take pic of inside the door pannels nad tailgate? Some people

i didnt mean so beat up i wouldnt buy it, but just pointing out that it might be worse than it looks if that much bondo was used. Mine is in worse condition than that, it seems like. But it wasnt for that price.

Yea, Yea, rub it in pighead;p I have it coming for taking so darn long to get the pig running. But I am driving it daily now trying to work out a few bugs. One of these days, maybe weeks, no, maybe months I'll come by to see you and your black beast. Meanwhile the 40 sits under a tarp feeling abandoned

If you have a high speed connection, click and hold the drag bar and drag down through the pics...it's like watching a movie frame by frame as the piggy rotates...

When you put that many pics on ebay, your reserve is usually a little on the aggressive side.

If you want to sell your vehicle, two pics are not going to do it. The more the merrier:) Trying to save a few dollars by not posting pics is just silly.

I totally agree...I'm just saying that the *trend* on ebay is the more pics posted, the higher the reserve, that's all.

I agree.
