I dont know dude, I had a 72 FJ40 and a 71 FJ55 that I sold awhile back to put money in the FJ60 I have. The selling of that 72 FJ40 still haunts me to this day... ugh. I did it because I was out growing the 40 and the 60 has all the stuff I would have had to add to the Pig (disc brakes, 4speed, 2F, split case). It ended up being a good deal overall but I sure did love that 40..

Now, a Unimog is cool and unuasually capable, but a 40? They get a hold of you in a special way....

You'd be forgiven, but only if you sell it to me at a way-below-market price. . . .

What are the mogs with a box rear? Old radio trucks? Those would be cool to convert to a camper ... drive all over the damn place once a year.

How do you plan to get the mog to the trail? I would think a built 40 is a lot more streetable than a mog.

I've seen comments from Mog owners wishing they had a Cruiser. Any chance you can hang onto the 40 for a while after buying the Mog? Once you've had the Mog for a year you might decide you prefer the 40.
