Went to fire up the 60 yesterday. Had been sitting about a month. No problem, fired up first time. Ran great all day Sat and most of today.

Suddenly, it won't stay running at idle this afternoon unless choked and I can see and smell oil leaking around the injector pipe and dripping onto the exhaust manifold.

The pipe was replaced earlier this year, but I'm not sure why it won't stay running and where the oil is coming from.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

What you mean by the injector pipe? The hose at the back of the valve cover? If oil is leaking, then like said check the PCV system. Pull the hose off the top of the PCV valve and make sure you got a vacuum. A hose might of came loose causing a vacuum leak.

Thanks. After speaking with the mechanic, he thought it could be the solenoid on the carb, and the oil is leaking form the manifold gasket since it was replaced earlier this year and probably needs a few cranks.

Now I gotta just find the time now to find out what's wrong.

There shouldn't be any oil leaking from the manifold gasket. If it is, you got slightly bigger problems. Do you mean side the cover gasket?

To check the solenoid, just unplug it and plug it back in with the ignition in the "on" position. If it clicks, the solenoid is getting power and you most likely have some gunk in your idle circuit. Carb cleaner is you friend here. If no click, start suspecting solenoid.
