You got a winner here J - and I’m not one for making a 80 look like a F-22 Raptor cockpit.

I wasn’t even keen on that A-pillar pod I tried to do, was glad when the center console that holds 3) 2 1/16” gauges hit the market - much cleaner.

Heck, I may do something similar for the boat to offset a bulky D-size ball mount for the depth/fish finder next to the autopilot display.

In a similar vein, I hear the through-floor urinal tube is progressing nicely.

Haha - no beef at all.

I own both Luminox watches in Ti they did for the F-22.

Both were b/c of the local Navy / Luminox deal at the PX - otherwise both are out of my lifestyle.
I even have the F-35 one - but it’s for dress occasions only.
And in SS, it’s heavy compared to this pair.

dragging the wire to have it integrated USB is better?

Great idea, simple and functional plus it's out of the way in a great spot to reduce clutter.

And the end user can do that

If I put USB then I'll get asked to put lightning port instead
If I put lightning port I'll get asked to put mini-USB instead
If I put mini-USB I'll get asked to put micro-USB instead

Why? because no one wants wires and adding a USB port means a wire still needs to be added. So no, I won't be adding any charging ports to it, respectfully

<Hijack on> This is way off topic...other than adding stuff...but here in Phoenix, devices sitting in the sun shut down, over heat, won't charge, etc. Food for thought is to come up with a universal sun-proof cover to shield devices from the direct sun. All the supercharger space blanket and roof top white heat proof elastomer popped to mind. The mirror mount and handle mount for RAM balls are awesome, I just haven't been able to find a way to keep them out of direct sunlight which renders them to goo. <Hijack off>

My phone mounts in the same spot. The usb cord comes up under the A pillar. Before I put on the dash cover, I used a stick on cable minder to hold it on top of the dash. Worst I have is about 4 inch of loose usb cable.
