My experience has been great too! I got my insert a few days after I ordered it. The new one went in easier than the old one came out--it took me a while to figure out how to disconnect the light switch. I cut a hole in the side for the OEM light, reserving the port at the back for a future charging station. I took everything out of the old box and stored most of it in my center console so now it's just got my registration envelope. I did buy some rubber shelf "paper" and I still have to put that on the shelf--I hate rattles. The pic below is in my darkened garage with just the illumination from the glove box light. Great product!

That's a heck of a good idea! I have an extra 12v usb outlet, might have to do that myself.

Will you be making more of these?

Please make some more- it’s one of the last things I need (for now....)

Ran into an issue with mine, but nothing that a little modification can't fix. I added a good amount of sound deadening to the inside of the firewall, which pushes the HVAC components out, which then causes the glovebox to interfere with the AC box.

Again, not a big deal, but be careful if you add insulation (1/2-3/4") to the inside of the firewall and then use this product.

What product did you use? I've been planning on thicker stuff under the carpet for the sake of padding, but as far as just sound deadener, the 3mm (or whatever the actual thickness is; somewhere in that range) Second Skin or Quiet Crap. Driving with bare floors for several years now, heat through the floor was only an issue on the transmission hump and that was only while I had the automatic, so I'm not worried about thermal insulation beyond what the carpet and padding will provide.

Quiet Crap, then dynaliner, then some carpet underlayment. Probably too much, but it's far enough out that it would have been close, if not interfering, with just the quiet crap+dynaliner.

Ok ok ok! After getting berated long enough about the glovebox inserts for the 60/62 series Land Cruisers, I’m going to make ONE LAST batch before I moth-ball the design because I have just way too many other things I need to be working on.

Since there is no post-process painting/coating needed these should be done and ready to go by mid-August.

I will be using pre-orders to determine how many get made. I highly suggest that if you are on the fence, don’t be because I don’t anticipate making these again after this run.

Orders will be for LHD and RHD trucks. The sheet metal is the same, it’s just how it’s bent.

Order now or forever hold your peace.

Glad I got one when I did!

this and a new hood insulator are perhaps the most satisfying upgrades to attach to your rig.....EVERY old carboard insert should be replaced with one of these things!!!

How do you preorder for a LHD? I only see an option for RDH on the site.
