I have a 1988 tlc bj-73 with b-3 engine from Japan and 24v system. Trying to hook-up system from a 4 light system to a 2 light system. Trailer light converter was installed and only worked for a few minutes and the right signal light fail. Power going into the converter but no power coming out on the green wire on the the test light. Are these converters different from 24v to 12v. We are currently using 24v toyota bulbs. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks Rusty1

Thanks you for the info on the lights. I think l will go direct from the truck to the trailer this will eliminate the junction box and all the other problems. Also have another question just wondering what kind of shear pin to put in my winch as i sheared the last one. There is no name on the winch it must be strong because it has a 3\8 inch cable on it. Any help or info would be appreciated. By the way l am new to this site and l think its great. Thanks everyone.

I've busted a few shear pins myself, now I keep a proper size drift and extra shear pins at hand, can't remember the correct size, I drilled mine out to a standard size and purchased a drift and a half a dozen shear pins at Lordco for under 10 bucks.
Just don't drill to much oversize, shear pins are cheap.
