I am restoring a Jan 1977 fj40 and have a stray wire coming off my turn signal switch. It is the green white and I have no idea where it goes.

Coolerman has your wiring diagram, in three parts, here --> Coolerman's Electrical Schematic and FSM File Retrieval ... Part #2 contains the Hazard Switch and the Stop Light Switch, just right of the middle of the schmatic. Both switches use a GW wire.

Your Horn Switch and/or horns also use GW, but that really shouldn't play here.

Also from @Coolerman, looks like that G/W wire should go to the brake light switch. It probably had a bullet style connector on it originally.

Here is the plugs off an 8/80+ column. With the ability to flash the brights it would have been the four spade instead of two spade but obviously not.

Ah. I recognize this one. A lot of us with 75-77 cruisers have that mystery wire dangling under the dash. Mystery solved below.

40 blinker switch single unused wire

76 model. Blinkers do not work. Not a fuse issue or light issue, all good there. Hazards work fine so it's not the relay. I assumed it was the switch on the steering column, but when I went to pull it I found that there was a wire that is part of the blinker switch assembly that is not...
