Hey All, I've not had this 1985 '60 very long. I spotted a loose wire near the ignition coil that is not connected to anything. The wire originates from a small black box mounted to the foot of the coil. I've been pouring over the wiring diagrams available online and can't quite read them. There is a butt connecter coming from the negative terminal of the battery that has nothing attached to it. My gut tells me that it may be a ground?

Any help is much appreciated.

Here's a picture of a stock coil mounting. The small black cube shaped thing with two wires poking out of it , bolted to the body, is a noise suppressor for the radio

Awesome, thanks. Where does the black wire coming out of the black box terminate / connect?
