I was under the truck the other day to take a look at the rear diff lock actuator, when I noticed that one of the wires is broken off of the lock sensor. It's broken right at the socket, so there's nothing to splice it to.

It's pretty dirty down there, but it looks as though the wire was potted into the socket in the connector. Any suggestions on how to repair it? Anybody have a part number for the connector?

cruiserparts will sell me the whole rear locker wiring harness for $50, so I could do that and cut out the chunk I need and splice it in, but I think I'd rather get the connector for a few dollars.

You were able back in the @cruiserdan days - buy what were called "collision repair ends" - basically ones I got were the Mr. T pin w/ cleat attached to 6-8" of wire.

@beno prob could help since he was w/ Dan back in those days (been ~6 years), but if he can't & it's NLA, you could scavenge some wires like this from anyone parting an 80. (Or any Toyota of that era really)

A extra large harness like a unlocked floor harness is a good resource for any wires you want for other add-on items, and lots of sockets that repeat in an 80.

This may be the info you're looking for.
