wipers acting weird (1 Viewer)

After the wipers working fine they just stopped mid wipe. After 5 or so minutes they started working then stopped and so on.

Is this a sign the motor is going out ?

Similar to what mine did before they died. The brushes were worn down from use. I replaced the brushes with generic tool brushes and the motor works great now.

Could be something else, but look at the brush length if you don't find some other issue.

check the main connector/terminal between the steering column and the dash(bottom of steering colume), make sure its seated all the way together.

I just found out that a wiper motor from FJ62's will fit the 60. I found a rebuilt one from O'reillys for $220.00. SOR wants $295.00 for a used motor.

Check some of the other sites like CruiserYard, eBay and the classifieds here or PicknPull to see if they have one to pull. I also think there is a thread somewhere that shows a swap with a first or second gen 4runner.
