Most heavy duty truck shops should be able to get you 24v lightbulbs.

I looked for a 24V pump for my 81 BJ42 and finally found one on Ebay. Other online sources didn't seem to have them stocked and the one I purchased from Specter wasn't the right one.

I picked up two 12-volt washer pumps, drilled a second hole in the washer container, mounted both, and wired them in series. I used one feed for the hood mounted nozzle, and the second for the windshield. Worked great, except the steel line inside the windshield frame is leaking, so I am going to mount two washer nozzles on the hood. If one of the pumps burns out, then you will loose both, just like those old Christmas light strings. 12 volt pumps are cheap enough, and a lot easier to get.

Try www.rallylights.com PA, USA for 24v H4, H1 etc. (best price I can find for 24v) , and www.donsbulbs.com for 24v dashlights blah blah. Wierd website, but he can find almost anything as long as you have the bulb number. Also www.superbrightleds.com has lots of 24v 1156-7 & dashlight led bulbs. Comparable to 24v incandecent in price, 100,000hr life. www.jcwhitney.com has some 2 to 10 amp 24v to 12v converters for ~$20. Just wire in line with a fj40 motor and off you go.

Does anyone know if the windshield washer pump for a bj 42 24 volt is still available from anyone? Also I need a US source for those long 24v bulbs that go in the cab light and under dash light on my 42. Thanks Tim
I just used a 12v pump on mine. It spins a bit faster with 24v, but I only run it for a second or two at a time, so far has lasted about three years!
