My front windshield washer stopped working. When I activate it the rear squirts but not the front. Is there a check valve that may need replacing? If so anyone have the Part #.
Cheers,
Sean

There is an electric diverter valve mounted in the LH inner fender near the brake booster. Follow the washer hose down from the hood and you will hit it. My mind is drawing a blank on the number at the moment but it goes for about 35 bucks or so. It can be taken apart but you will likely find a bunch of rusted bits inside when you do... I stock them and will post the number in the morning if nobody does by then........

Cool Dan, when you post that part # i'll add it to my ever growing order!

part #

I believe this is it (CDan, correct me if I'm wrong)

85321-60050 Rear Washer Valve.

That is what I have in my records.

Correct you are sir. The current suggested list price is $36.50 (soon to change I'm sure as Toyota has a broad-ranging price adjustment comming January 1 '05)

How much notice will you have before the new prices hit, in case I .. .. wanted . ... a . . . the part mentione above, yeah thats right! (See no Hijack :D )

It seems like it'd be fairly easy to put together a better valve, maybe add a headlight squirting function to the valve as well. I'll get right on it, like all my other suggestions here.

Sean - it's exactly as C-Dan says. I had to swap mine out a couple times (the first replacement part was bad).

If you need a temp fix, once you locate the part, swap out the hoses -- so the rear sqirter valve gets the front squirter tube. You won't get as much fluid out, but it'll work short term.

I had blockage in my hose.
Remove the hose at the pump and blow. If you can blow then its not the hose from the tank to the squirter.
Mine was plugged. I hooked up 120psi to the tank end of the hose. When the blockage blew free, I got wet.

Thanks.
Cheers,
Sean
