I need to replace the windshield in the 80. Everything I have ever read or heard suggests that doing this right is a difficult job, even for glass shops. They end up leaking usually or use cheap glass.

I will be using OEM windshield rubber and either factory glass or a good aftermarket glass.

Does anyone have any experience with a local glass shop replacing an 80 windshield?

For anyone needing glass installed.

I had Deep Ellum Auto Glass down in Dallas install the windshield. They seem to do a top notch job. Put sealant on both sides of the rubber. He said you have to do it that way or it'll leak for sure, especially if you wheel. I'll be testing for leaks this weekend but as much work as they put into it I don't expect a drip. I drove downtown instead of having the service truck come to my office. The owner was the one who installed it. Nice guy.
