I have a 64' FJ40 and I have been trying to find what the difference is between the windshield base weatherstrip seal on a 64' vs the later models. Anybody know? I need to get a new one and any help with this search is greatly appreciated.

Not sure where I have mine but the early ones were just a solid piece of thick rubber. Could probably make. Just a cut for defrost vents and wiring harness to the wiper motors.

The on on my ‘64 was also a solid slab of rubber.
I always thought that this was one of the things Toyota improved over time, as the front lip helped to keep water out of the cowl, and the ribbing gave the weatherstripping a little more give for getting the windshield aligned with the doors.
