Why in the two first pics the track is way to long towards the rear and in the 3rd and 4th its looks like its at the right spot ??
Backwards maybe ?? But it does bolt to track like the two first.

Notice in this pic the track is no longer or past where it bolts together and not pasted the angle in the glass..

Man, I don't know, looks like that track is longer than what I have, mine don't go past the bolts.
Has it been changed at any time ??

What year is your rig ??

87. I’m as confused as you are looking at my pics. The second two of mine I flipped the runner around against the riser to show itdoesnt line up that way to force the right side (door opening) edge to be even.
Idk...

OK, so we have different years and parts are diff.. U have me stumped ! The ONLY thing I can see is ( or imagine ) is that the window is not sitting properly in the rubber track or the rubber not sitting right in track which would cause the window to be more towards that bracket?? It has happened to me before ? OR maybe when you cinch the hole runner to the window its a tad to much towards the rear of the door ???

I see that its rusted a bit? Could it be bent a little ?? A REDNECK FIX, You could cut it just passed the bolt where there is rust ? if Push comes to sh... :smokin:

Any chance you're working on both doors at the same time and got your glass swapped around or something silly like that?

Edit: That can be rhetorical and you can just pretend it didn't happen and nobody would have to know...

Driver is new hardware and I cut new plastic and resealed it so I don’t want to open it up.
My first question... should the runner have this longer end?
I have to add I’m starting to feel really stupid here. Granted I’ve had it out of the truck for a week plus and had the rubber in the house, I’m really quite sure I didn’t flip flop something. And I have the old regulator from the driver side which matches up tho for the oppposing side so imseripusly befuddled on WTF is making this such a s*** show reassembly.

IF it is why did it work before I took it apart but NOW it’s not? Nothing changed other than I soaked the rubber in silicone for a few days. It’s most certainly something I’m doing wrong in the reassembly.
As I said driver was pulled apart a few months back and is reassembled nicely so I’m not pulling that side open.
I’ll keep fussing this week when I have time to steal while my kid naps. Off to work now.

FYI, thank you tons @pistonpete for all your attempts to help!

Maybe you have the glass turned outside in?

So you're just swapping the lifting mechanism? Are you sure the parts are for a 60?

You may have something installed backwards. Or it's an order of operations issue. Here's what the Holy Bible says...

Thanks! I’ll look thru those. And no I’m not swapping ANY parts. Just trying to rehydrate the rubber and reinstall cuz the glass tipped out and was all cockeyed.

Maybe you should hit it with a plastic hammer. That's what it says in the good book.

It’s so weird. I honestly can not imagine an earlier 80-85 60 would have a different window run from a late 80’s. In one of the pages I circled the run. It doesn’t show that extra section after the screw cleaning seat to the door opening but it’s what came out of the truck. I’ve fussed w/ it before a few years ago and had NO issues, why now? I’m not doing anything different than the directions. I’ve not taken the glass out of the door. It’s taped up in place.
One of you come help me, I’ll pay you in beer and pizza. ;)
