I have two of them. They seem to be decent. Try cruisercorp.com also.

we rebuilt mine - it's one of the polished turds on my truck :hillbilly:

I have one. It was fine for a few years (4 maybe?), but now the gears are starting to strip. :meh: Yeah, you get what you pay for.

YMMV.

I used aftermarket regulators when I re-built my doors about a year ago and they are working fine, but have had minimal use. Several vendors (CCOT, CC, SOR) sell aftermarket regulators that all appear to be identical. I don't believe the Toyota part is still available, but I'm not 100% sure.

How did you disassemble it? The gear behind the crank has one sheared tooth on mine but I can't see how to get it off. I'm also looking at the CCOT if not repairable.

we drilled the rivet out to get the handle off - after that it comes completely apart, cleaned, tightened and lubed everything - used a domed allenhead bolt and locktight later in place of the rivet - of course, that would not work for a purist, but my truck is a wheeler

I don't know where you would find new gears if yours are stripped - then a replacement may be the only option

cruisercorps also sells new regulators

im from the 60 series section just exploring, but i got my drivers side window regulator from CCOT and it works like a charm
havent had problems in 3 months since i changed it out

thanks for the insight DSRTRDR, the only way i can think to refurb mine is to .find someone else that has stripped the opposite gear and wants to dump it, brand new one for $40 :hmm: i'll just get the new too and pull the busted one apart for a spare.

Jalbao, have you taken yours out of the door and found where it's stripped? Maybe we're in the same boat.

Yes. The problem with mine was with the teeth of the gear wheels. The teeth are wore out such that the gears don't bite each other.

So, for me, taking apart the regulator and doing some lube/cleaning wouldn't have fixed the problem.
