Window popping out of channel (1 Viewer)

I was putting in new window runs and things were getting tense. I decided to see if I could get more of the run in by removing the window from it’s bottom channel in the raising mechanism. Turns out, no.
I got the run in with lots of windex and elbow grease, got the window back in the raising mechanism, but now the window run grabs the window harder than the channel in the mechanism, leading to the mechanism pulling off the bottom when I try to lower. What’s the play here? Over bend the channel for the bottom edge? Glue it in?

On my friends i used a piece of butyl / window weld..

Thanks. I used some gorilla glue, seems to be working
