I have a question about doing a EGR deactivation or delete on my 94. The system is already somewhat "disabled". I have the Toyota cap on the plug, working great no codes. I looped one of the vacuum hoses and had read that it will keep the valve closed. So hopefully it has not been working for the last few months. I would like to do a full delete but it looks like it is too hard to cap the pipe on the head with the head installed. So i am not going to bother with really removing everything. I figure i will just put a thin plate between the EGR and the intake manifold, effectively blocking off the system. has anyone else taken this approach? Once the system is blocked there is there any other places that it can still circulate gas?
