Will someone tell me if something is missing in this picture

The 99 Land Cruiser I recently purchased has had some work done on the front passenger side (new hood and fender). What I'm wondering is if there is part of the inner fender still missing. Here is the view in front of the passenger tire.

On the drivers side there is a plastic box that protects the light wiring behind the bumper but nothing on the passenger side. If someone could look at their cruiser and let me know if I need to track down a part I'd appreciate it.

the driver side fender does have a black plastic liner and the plastic box you were talking about is a cover for the windshield washer reservoir.. the picture above is the same as mine, you do have the fender liners on both sides, correct?

Yes, the fender liners are in place on both sides.

Has anyone fabricated a shield to help keep crap from getting into all the nooks and crannies on hte passenger side? Extending the inner fender seems like it would be a good upgrade.

I'd go to home depot and get some thin sheet metal, bend it and cut it to fit. Seems very easy to do. Quick fix.

Talk to CDan and get the correct parts. The entire fender lining is only just over $100 list. Maybe the place you bought it from will pick it up for you or split the bill.

uh, I dont remember mine having anything in there for the past 9 years, but that could just be me being crazy. The drivers side that black plastic box is the shield for the windshield washer fluid res.

Crap doesnt build up in there, and besides, every time you wash it you can just hose it off, nothing will get hurt.

I'll check with CDan about parts but it sounds like there is some uncertainty about whether anything is actually missing. Does anyone know of a website with 100 series body parts listed out with diagrams? That would be really helpful. I checked Spector's site but they don't sell much in the way of 100 body parts...yet.

It seems like the plastic fender liner should extend down a little more, I don't recall mine seeming so "flat" up top. But, looking at the diagrams on the site I posted, the plastic liner stops about where yours does. Your pic is kind of an odd angle, it makes the space behind the bumper look really huge and bare.

You are also missing the right front factory tow hook.

NMuzj100: I think the support just looks bent because of the angle/lens. In person it looks straight and the bumper is oriented straight on the truck.

The tow hook came off when the Wagner bull bar was removed (the day after I bought the truck). I'm planning to get under there with some POR15 chassis coat to slow the progression of the surface rust before I put the tow hook back on.
