A friend is getting into his restoration shop a Cruiser for a completed restoration. He will need a source for parts. Who will be the best source for parts?

This will be a better than new job.

aqualu for aluminum www.aqualu.com

I have had very good luck with
http://www.realsteelcruiserparts.net/
They have been great to work with.

You can get one of the fenders from toyota, they other would have to be a copy. They sell these at http://coolfj40.stores.yahoo.net/ as well as some other metal parts.

I went through an ordeal to order a complete tub. These are sourced from able body builders in central and south america. My advise would be to only buy one from someone who already has it in stock. I waited months for mine from one of the vendors that lists them on their site only to have to get a full refund. I ended up finding a tub locally, having it sandblasted and doing the metal work myself.

is it an FJCruiser or a 40 series ... if its a 40 series, another option, assuming he wants to rebuild the existing tub is to have the quarters, rocker panels, floor pieces maybe made at a local shop ... might be cheaper at least from a shipping perspective and then he has the option of thicker gauge metal ... the trade-off from a floor piece perspective is the factory related bumps/ridges etc wouldn't be there ...
