will mini-truck birf fit into bj-70 (1987)?

I've searched and I "think" a 1985 mini-truck birf will fit into a 1987 bj-70, but want to make sure.

Yep, no worries.

Axle shafts are different, but Birfs are the same.

Birfs are indeed the same and the short side front inner axle shaft will work too.

Thanks for the replies. I have several spare birfs for the 4r, and in fact carry both long and short sides already attached to the birfs, so that's cool to know I can throw in the short side when I take the 70.
