I have a spare pump I have from a parted 62. Just purchased a 60 w/ a bad pump.....#s are diff. are they interchangable?

Thx

Nope. Off the top of my head I'm not sure it it will even bolt into the same bracket, but it doesn't matter 'cause the hose ports are located wrong. If you could bolt it in the hoses could not fit between the pump and the engine.

Mark...

I just had my FJ60 pump rebuilt, but they sent me back a rebuilt one off a different core. The hose port was in the right place, but the thickness of the cast body was a little bigger around the lower cylinder shape that the high pressure hose fits into. This just barely prevented the pump from sliding all the way into the bracket. So I returned that core and they re-sent me my original core rebuilt. Now it's in there. I'm not sure if it was exactly an FJ62 core that they originally sent, but now I know for sure that there is not just one type of steering pump, though the difference is small.
