will a 2F valvecover gasket work on an F engine? (1 Viewer)

I have a 2F valve cover and it is leaking on my F engine. I have a brand new F valve cover gasket. Will it work for me or are they different?

OK. On to second option, what are your thoughts on making an RTV gasket? I have a good gasket on there, and not pinched, but it doesn't sit very well on my F head. Might have a knick in my head mating surface.

Gaskets are cheap. Just order the right gasket and clean the VC and head throughly before installing. Then you won't have to chisel the RTV off next time you need to peek inside the VC.
