Will 72 axles swap easily to a 76

Couple of questions

Will 72 fj40axle go in a 76 withminor mods
I know you give up disk brakes but just wondering

Yes... Other than the brake line locations, and the disc brakes. Re disc brakes, I bolted on the knuckles from a 76 onto my 74 axles... You don't want to give up discs.

Also, a 77 FF rear axle bolted into my 74 with no mods.

you will need matching d shaft flanges for the axles. 3 and 4 speed have different bolt patterns.
