Who's Going To Buy This SLEEBLT?

Interesting people find this price outrageous. Maybe, but have you seen the cost of G-Wagons lately? Heck, the hummer ev is fetching $250k. Is the Hummer and Gwagon better? This particular 200 is a one off build. Would I spend $200k on a 200…nope but when you compare this build to anything else, it’s priced within “crazy” reason. Should have come with a supercharger and 40gal. LRA

"A fool and his money are easily parted."

Applies to all of the examples you've listed, IMO.

Sure, but how many cup holders does it have :steer:
That’s a better joke than I was going to make…

I was going to comment on the MOG having better gas mileage but it dawned on me it’s probably the only vehicle keeping the LC out of dead last on that list.

I don’t know I bet the mpg camper does better then when I tow with my LX. They are diesels.

The problem with vehicle like this one (and the MOG) is that the value is not equal to the sum of the parts and labor.

As an owner of an Ed Martin 200, I'll say the build quality has been top notch. And when I had minor issues, Eric treats you like a VIP. Mine is built and I paid less than half of this rig (pre pandemic ordering) but there's always someone willing to pay.

So let's hope for the best: A self made, wealthy person who has a sudden midlife crisis so he quits his job, buys this rig, and goes full Transamerica, down to Ushia, over to Cape Horn, drives up to Paris and finds the meaning of life along the way. All for $225k and a few oil changes. Maybe a cabin filter, too.

I like it! I know a couple guys that have a 12 person jet, cost of this 200 would be pennies to them. COG is all relative. I’m sure people think anyone who pays $100k for a 200 is nuts as well.

I get all vague when people ask what I have in mine… it’s either “well, you get what you pay for…” or “that would be like me asking what your wife weighs, some thing’s are better left to one’s imagination”. Then we move on to some cool aspect of the vehicle and it’s forgotten.

Everyone has that thing they spend too much money on. It’s not that I’m ashamed of what I have in our build, we just don’t want that info out there… loose lips sink ships and all and if I’m talking to someone who knows these things they never ask because they’re either in as deep or deeper or been down the rabbit hole and building themselves.

Eric is a longtime member of this forum and an upstanding businessman who has roots with both Slee and Dissent. He is selling the last new 200. Let us be honest. It is a grail rig for most of us. If you hit the lottery or were already a UHNWI why would you not buy it? It is the end of an era.
