Hey Guys, I was talking with Jim C this weekend and it got me to thinking, Before i can hit the road I have to register the 40. Problem is one of the VIN plates is missing. (door Jam)

I have the vin plate from the fender, but was wondering if I could get another one made up, or just move the one from the fender to the door.

What do you think. BTW. The numbers match the Engine block etc. so nothing fishy here. I just need to get the other plate which is long gone.

Thanks.

Edit, I found it, Foxfab and letter from Toyota. Uhhh.

if anyone decides to do door jamb plates, i need one too.

Any decent sign painter with a plotter should be able to pump out several paint masks after scanning one of the existing ID plates. This isn't rocket-science after all.

When I get a few mins free I will contact datatags.com to see what the deal is. I guess the difference for me from the 25 owners who are doing them, is they have nice junk, I just need a copy of one I already have for registration purposes, not restoration purposes. We will See I will try to keep you all posted.
