This is an awesome thread.

I can confirm the quality of an older model GE Micro.

After a discussion with the where we had somewhat different opinions I decided to take out a bit of frustration with noted GE Micro.

I used the side of my right hand to close door on said GE Micro which was the closest object and happened to catch it right on the edge of the door.

Honestly it wasn't a punch but rather a sideways 'nudge' to close the door. After about a week of painful handshakes and my unwillingness to admit to my wife that it hurt like hell I went to the Dr.

After the confrontation, the GE micro still worked with cracked glass (now in landfill). I started a new job (which I still have) one week later with a big cast and a metal plate on right hand.

They now call me lefty at work.

I now respect all appliances.
