Depends on your intended use - I loved hubcaps until I went out wheeling in my 40, and dented two them on rocks almost immediately. After that I’d take them off on wheeling days, but then I discovered I’m too lazy to constantly be popping the hubcaps on and off and just left them off.

That said, I like to looks of hubcaps. If it was an “on road only” truck I’d wear them.

Hub caps suck to take on and off when working on the cruiser. They scratch the wheel, I am with @ToyotaMatt. There is a reason Toyota switched in the later years.

I normally run caps however I have been known to go 'capless' when the vehicle has a ff rear axle. Front and rear look balanced that way. If that FF should be under an FJ 45 ( as in Seamonkey's) I don't run caps. I bought a 55 once in the 90s with 'white spokers', but swapped them out before I winched it onto my trailer and got in the ferry line.

Spoked wagon wheels, especially white ones, were way overdone in the 70's. Everyone and their dog had them (I put a set on my Ford Mazda Courier pick-up truck). I guess I'm still tired of them from back then, but hub caps are much more classic and classy IMO.
