My '97 went 316K before the headgasket failed. Its at 340K now and going strong.@40thCruiser no head gasket either? This gives me hope for my 97 at 230k
100k more then mine. What has been done to the engine?
TexasJack, your instrument cluster is really bright and clear. Did you do anything different such as upgrade the light bulbs with LED’s? Mine is dull even when rheostat dialed to its brightest. Thanks.Just turned mine over 300K in December. Headgasket done at 220K. I have owned it since it had 20K on it so I have put over 280K on it myself. Plan to keep it for a long time to come.View attachment 3207695
I cannot explain that. It is very bright and I haven't changed a single light inside the cluster. None are burned out that I can tell. This is a truck with over 300K and it is a 95. Maybe Mr. Toyota is a wizard!TexasJack, your instrument cluster is really bright and clear. Did you do anything different such as upgrade the light bulbs with LED’s?
