I'm looking for some reomendations for a company that makes driveshafts. Need something custom since I have a Ford 9" rear end. Thanks for the recomendations.

Tom woods is normally the man when it comes to driveshafts.
Their is a member on here that has had a bad experience with his products though and i'm sure he will speak up shortly.

Also any driveline shop can modify your existing shaft for a custom app. There are tons of places like that near my work .

Triangle driveshaft in Durham did a good job retubing my rear w/ DOM after I spun it on Kodak. They aren't exactly local to you, but this dude has been doing DS since before you were born, is a one-man operation behind his house. Give a call at least (919) 688-2544

Thanks..

Thanks I appreciate the info... I will look into the options. Any idea of ball park price range? Anything speical I should ask for in the building process?

There is a company here in Nam i have been using for years but again it is just as far for you. Should be someone local to you. Did my front not work for your front ?

Hardest thing i see for you is just getting the right ends put on and the right measurment overall.

Triple-drilled flanges from Marlin will alleviate the need for DS work if its just due to mismatched bolt patterns. If it's lengthening/shortening, I don't understand - isn't everything or you ride stock now?

driveshaft

The front drive shaft will work. I was thinking if I need a custom one for the rear I might as well get one for the front. Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.

x2 on olivers...... they rebuilt the 45 shafts and retubed the 80's w/ 1/4''wall DOM

J what did they charge for the 80? I may want to do this sooner or later.

getting closer

Does anybody have a ball park idea what driveshafts will cost me? Just wondering. I picked up my wiring harness the other day so Im one step closser to have the thing on the road. :)

Related to drive shafts, are there any aftermarket recommendations on u-joints or is everyone using Toyota? Who makes the Toyota OEM?

Alex used a ten dollar ujoint from napa (gold label) but it hasnt seen much mileage yet.
some folks on the nat'l forum have used the napa gold with no complaints.

Guys at Olivers said mine felt so good they wouldnt touch em.....even with 238k

i dug through my reciepts but looks like I payed him 400 cash for everything if he could ring it up as labor to give me a deal.

the 45 had 4new ujoints and the CV which was an oddball replaced

80 was only retubed and balanced to 10k rpm so under a 100 id guess.
