"It's been a year since I slept ..............................................."
great movie. christian bale is one of my favourite actors... the dedication it took to go from being fairly built to the size he was in that movie is incredible, and a little sickening. good call, T
Well that didn't take long... sheesh
Bale went from his usual 185 lbs to 120. Simply by not eating, but continuing to run .. what a freak!
I just rented it tonite .. some of the industrial frames are pretty stunning. Very kafka-esque. I think you get the full effect if you get up off the bed just as you're about to doze off .. and force yourself to stay up thru the whole disturbing thing .
i heard a rumor that he didn't change his regular gym routine, but ate only an apple and a can of tuna a day for almost a year... i was also told that he originally wanted to go down to 100 lbs, but the producers/director wouldn't let him, for obvious health reasons... not sure if there's any truth to those stories though.
Oh yeah .. the tuna-apple diet. 26 grams of protein, a few wet carbs .. Mmmmm! ;p
Gonna try me some of that ..
Bale is a very dedicated actor, one of my favs and not a f'in prick like most hollywood fags.
You can't beat that sceen in American Psycho where he is doing that chick from behind and giving himself high fives and thumbs ups in the mirror
just saw it last night. he could not have lost another pound and still been alive. he was crazy skinny - that took some dedication.
It's on the Netflix queue, but wifey keeps bumping it down. . . ..
I just saw it tonight. I will give him credit for losing all that weight. Great actor. But, the movie sucked.
Hey maybe I could break with the norm, and say don't use the search! Glad a few more guys found this movie .. personally I think it's the more fringe stuff that makes an impact, not the high priced glitz crap .. imho.
Equilibrium [sp?] was by far my favorite Bale flick.
Dude's a stud.
