Just about to get new 31 x 10.5 x 15 tires put on to replace current 235's but had to ask everyone's opinion will it look better white walls in or out? Or does it matter? Didn't know what is trending currently. Thanks for the feedback!

IN-black all the way.

Black out, but if you put black wheels on it you will be publicly flogged.

It depends. If your rig is stock all the way, go white walls out. Keep it retro. Modified at all, white walls in.

Pretty subjective, but I think this depends on the aesthetic you are going for with your vehicle. The whitewalls showing is a more "old school" look, while the black (especially with black wheels) gives a 60 a more aggressive, or even "military", vibe IMO.

White out if they are paying you to advertise, otherwise black out.

My FJ60, when new, was black sidewalls IIRC, but I like the "nostalgia" look of white letters out. Not really original, but hey. It could have been.

I recently had my summer tires put on my 2012 F150, modern truck and they put the white letters out. Not my favourite. But the rubber is coming to an end soon, so I let it slide. Black letters out is better by far.

White walls are not white letters, but white rings around the truck. I have seen it on cruisers. It's pretty lame. But so is a 31 inch tire.

I had 30 x 9.5 x 15s when I bought my truck. Fuugly… The 235/85R16 is just starting to look normal that I put on. But if your on 15's I would use a 33 x 10.5 x 15 or so. Or a 32 at a min..

33" is a bit tall for stock suspension and 32's only come in 11.5 width, which is a bit wide for those stock 6" wheels. I think the 31 is a good choice. White lettering facing out is OK too-either way looks fine.

Thank you for all the interesting responses. I will try to post before and after pictures. I did blackout today!

Sounds like it's highly subjective, and evenly split based on all your good responses. I did go with the 31s and it is a big improvement over the 235/75/15. Looks like a totally different rig with the rugged and somewhat noisy 31's. I definately recommend the 31's!
