I've been on the road for the better part of a month, Yukon, Alaska, BC (9000+ Kms!). Will be meeting some friends in Princeton tomorrow... May as well do Whipsaw :hmm:. I'm counting on it being busy, any other CC'ers going to be on the trail between Saturday and Monday?

Would love to go but still working on the seemingly endless to do list at home. :frown:

Your friends should be prepared for cold temps at night on the Whipsaw. My sister told me that the other morning it was only 5C at Monte lake. Monte Lake is considerably lower than the Whipsaw.

We had 1-2c at Cabin Lake last weekend so it is cool at night. Cabin Lake is at 6000+ft.

Excellent! That's getting cold enough to kill off all those mosquitoes.

just for comparison - Monticello, UT just south of Moab is 7,000 ft high and it drops to only 16c at night (60F) and goes to 31C (88F) this time of the year
