Which replacement head do I need?

I had no luck getting any supplier to even give me a valve size, I also have no reply from Engines Australia.

13/14b conversion looking more and more appealing, just so expensive.

I also had no response from engine Australia or cylinder heads Australia.... Somebody must be making these as cruiserparts has them available but I have not even inquired as price is up there + frt + taxes/duty + exchange rate!

Wonder what it would cost to have a mold made? There are a couple foundries in Canada that could cast... and is there a big enough market or interest?

I realize this thread is 2 years old, but looking at options for a new cylinder head for my 85 bj60 and curious if anyone else has given the China ones a try since this posting or cruiserparts? Are the cruiser parts one just the china ones marked up?

Mine is in good working order, engine rebuilt this spring, and when the head was magnafluxed there was a few hairline cracks there were not visible prior with a torch. Precups changed out, but I didnt have the funds for a new head.
So debating on options.
15k kms since rebuild, no problems, run about 10-12lbs boost and egts are around 850 cruising.

Thanks to any help.

It's a tuff one Jon. My buddy detailed valve sizes and everything and got a useless small valve head delivered just this last year. It's a huge gamble and it appears the odds are against you.
Now hook up the trailer and pull some hills and break that motor in!

Thanks again for all your help yesterday Greg! I really appreciate you taking time, and sorry for delaying your dinner.
Thank you!

@gerg I know it has been a few years since this post, but curious as to what did your buddy end up doing? It seems like China only has the small valve head and the 3BII head.

I think a viable option might be to get the smaller head and have it machined out to the larger valve. Did the casting that your buddy got look good? I'd take it off his hands and try my luck with a machine shop if it's still around.

Hmm. Was not good. Ended up being a complete waste. Several coolant ports didn’t line up. Unusable. Then He bought the last head engines Australia had for the 3B. I contacted them a week after he bought it and they said they were out and didn’t expect to ever get them again. Bummer
