I've got a 73 F manifold going onto a 80 2F engine....
Do I need the gasket for a 73 F or the 80 2F?
I'm assuming the manifolds are interchangeable with the engines

i hope they are, cause my buddy's got a later 2f with early f manifolds and it's been working fine for him for years. i'm doing the same thing on my 45...i'm running the 2f gasket.

thats what I'll buy then..thanks

I think that the F and 2F head's/manifolds share the same overall dimensions, the only difference would be OEM material and I think bolt size (neglible since manifold gasket holes can easily be enlarged). I'd go with the 2F, and only a felpro at that.

Use the felpro instead of OEM (assuming its still availbale)?

FYI, I just got a manifold gasket with an order from SOR, It is identical to the Napa one I have on the wall.

Yes, use the FelPro MS22813, available from your local Advance for $13.99. It's made of some yummy graphite/mica/asbestos/unbreakium mixture that is way better than the OEM foil crap.

thanks!
