where is the speed warning buzzer on a hilux?

where is the speed warning buzzer located on an 89 hilux?
Is it easy to diconect?

It's behind the instrument cluster. Lower your steering wheel down. Take out instrument cluster bezel. Take out cluster. Unscrew buzzer.

Get bandages for your forearms trying to disconnect wiring.

too bad it isn't just a fuse?
how long will it take? is it easy to find or identify when the cluster is out? is there anything I should watch out for, or anything I can really screw up doing this?

It took me 45 minutes. Most of the time is working blind reaching in behind for wiring and speedo cable. Once it out I you can't miss it.

You can always break things if you are not careful so take your time.

I wish it was a fuse.

I had about 20 different scrapes on my arm trying to reach behind to hook up the speedo cable after I was done removing the chime. I had to unbolt the speedo cable from the driver's side inner fender well (it passes through a metal clip) to get enough slack to do it. I'm not sure if the 89 will be the same.

Mine was a little metal box with 2 yellow wires coming out of it.
