Where exactly does the evaporator temperature sensor clip on to? (1 Viewer)

Here is where the sensor was clipped when I pulled the evaporator out yesterday. The FSM isn’t super clear where to put it other than a vague drawing.

I do know it has to go on the left side (closest to the driver) of the evaporator so it can connect to the harness nearby.

Does it really matter where on the evaporator it goes?

I'm no expert but it seems like anywhere near the center would make sense.....
Or, why not just reinstall it at the original location?
