Where does this ground wire go? (1 Viewer)

A friend was helping when taking this part off but not sure where it connected and he's not answering. Anyone have a good idea where this is supposed to connect? My first guess was frame to engine but still unclear where exactly.

I believe it goes from the starter to the bolt holding the brake line in the frame. Please excuse the wiring mess, PO was apparently wiring in the dark.

Sort of what I thought but I saw the positive coming off starter and thought those would be very close to one another. Is it below where it goes?

Unfortunately I don't remember where it went. None of my pictures show the other end attached

I think there’s a large ground from the top bolt of the stater/bell housing to the frame (Where the brake line bolts), as well as the main battery negative to frame, just in front of the battery support.

what you have there is called " Cable Bond No. 1 "

its your starter to upper frame rail grounding strap system or circut in English , and indeed a needed part to have in place .........

i will post more detailed photos and info below
