I pulled the wheels off my FJ62 and found out that the lug nuts were only on by about three threads (they're aftermarket wheels)! Too risky for me.

So I'm looking for a deeper set of studs, but I've had a really hard time finding deeper ones. Does anyone know where I can find a set of longer wheel studs?

Search and you will find several threads on this topic. None of them have a metric thread solution for the front. I looked into having ARP make 10+ sets that were longer but with the OE stud's head design, but couldn't get enough interest to justify the rather large initial investment.

Dorman makes an OE replacement, but it is slightly SHORTER than stock. The Customer Service gal that I talked to said if they get enough calls asking for a longer version that they will consider making them (hint, hint; I posted the number somewhere).

Stock part measures about 52mm from the seat under the head to the tip. Unfortunately that one looks to be pretty close to the same, less than 55mm for the same measuring points.

What kind of wheels are they and what style of lug nut?

I have aftermarket wheels that came with acorn style lug nuts. Running Dorman studs on the front. No issues even though they are shorter.

But to reiterate. Read on here. There is a ton of info. Longer rears are possible with a Toyota part IIRC. Front studs, not so much haha

Go to napa and tell them you need some Forman lug studs in metric and tell them the year of your truck, they should be able to look up the should size and thread length, then decide just how long you want them to be!!!
I've done this many times and it works great !!

I did exactly that, only I did the digging thru the Dorman catalog since they know me well at my LAPS. If you want the same shape where the stud goes thru the rotor and the wheel hub (these are a very unique shoulder configuration, refer to the pic above) then there is only one option, and it is slightly shorter than OE. If they get enough demand Dorman is willing to make longer studs, but they need to hear from us that longer studs are wanted and that there is a market big enough to justify their tooling costs. Look up Dorman's contact info and call them!

Even if you're willing to drill out both the rotor and the wheel hub finding a stud with a long enough shoulder length to fully engage both the rotor and the hub is a challenge.

Your wheels might be designed for ET/Ultra style lug nuts.

Yea, the guy at my napa said he could only do stock replacements. I told him I just needed the shoulder diameter to be the same, but a stud at least 1/2 inch longer, and he said he didn't have anything that would work.

Trying to get some DEEP moroso studs to work, but I may need to get them pressed as I'm having difficulty getting them to seat by hand. The shoulder is just a touch wider on these than the stock.

I thought someone had a P/N for studs that were just a bit longer but SAE.... I know you would have to buy a bunch of lug nuts too...but?

Yea, it's expensive for all those studs and nuts. If anyone has p/n for longer studs I'd be thankful.
