How often should these be changed out? What are the signs of it being bad? I have about 197k on my FJ60 and i believe that charcoal canister is stock.

Thanks

I don't think they are a service part, ,meaning unless its bad then don't replace it.

What would be considered bad?

The only way to kill it that i've heard of is to have liquid gas flow into it. There are a couple of check valves in the top that might get stuck open. The emissions book covers the testing of the can.
