I have read a bunch of threads but am stuck on a very conceptual question that came up when adjusting my tbars for proper ahc value via techstream.

for the sake of argument this is my 2000 lx470 with 162k on it.

As i was cranking the tbars to bring my pressures back into spec it dawned on me that there every time they are crank the spring rate has to be getting higher right since the spring is gettig tighter to compensate for sag?

Here is my logic.

the tbar (acting as a spring) is softer then it was when original, so by cranking it i am rotating in a manner that it reaches its end point much sooner?

The conventional spring scenario is as such. If a rear spring was sagging, you put a spacer on it to get its original height back. If you did that year after year adding more and more spacers you would solve the height problem but you loose spring through range because eventually that spring would be so sagging that it would be all spacer. (obvious exaggeration but to show a concept)

Does this happen with tbars? Eventually they become re-indexed and turned so much that they are at the end of their usable spring?

In the spring time i want to replace my globes because the ride is harsh on small bumps but i still have 9 gradients of change. I only want to do the work once and am wondering if the tbars are sagged to the point where they are too bound up to be working as intended. FWIW the rear are stock spring but with air bags to bring them back in range and help with the fluctuations between long family road trips and everyday empty weight.

Whenever you want to. As you say, they start to lose their range. A bit like springs, change them when you feel it affects the ride. The difference with AHC is that they are fairly weak anyway as they get assistance.
