My FJ60 has white steel wheels. I was thinking of getting some new aluminum wheels. Any ideas?

Mitch

I have alluminum. They are uncoated and since I live in Colorado where there is a ton of Magnesium Chloride used on the roads for snow...my rims are pitted badly. Coated alluminum looks cheap to me, but uncoated...they are subject to the ellements.

I am thinking about switching to black steel rims.

Assuming that you are using stock axles/brakes...the key is to make sure that you get ones with the correct backspace - 3.5". This is a non-standard size, so it's hard to find.

So, is that 3.5" of negative offset?

Many times on Ebay they have the same wheels as JT's for $250 a set. including centers.
They are Eagle aluminums with 3.25" backspacing.

If you do a search for Eagle, Toyota 6lug, they'll come up.
I think they might be Eagle 058's

I think I would still verify the backspacing before bidding.

I buy this in 4wheel parts .. ver cheap aprox 54 USD each ..
