Jason (modified SOA 62 series) andy myself (105 SFA, SRA) went wheeling near Cape Town this past weekend.

THis was the first trail run for Jason and it certainly was an interesting day.

Here the steering arm bend and we had to remove it for it to be fixed at a nearby farm.

I am strill trying get to grips with the US wheeling conditions. Trails like Moab, the golden crack, etc looks awesome. It also looks like rock crawling is quite big in your side of the world. Wheeling is huge in ZA. Last count I heard there could be as much as 400 trails in the Cape. I have not been wheeling as mush as I wanted to but at one stage I did a different trail every 4-6 weeks. Overlanding trips is also very big and I do a 2-3 week trip into the bush 1-2 a year.

Our conditions in the Cape is usually a combination of loose sand, shale rock and loose granite type rocks. Towards Gauteng (One of the other 7 provinces) the conditions are a bit firmer but also with loose rock at places.

I must add, Should I one day visit Utah I would love to visit Moab.
