Anyone up for an afternoon run to Eagle Lakes this week? Running front to back can be done in 45 minutes. I'm jonesing for some off road time.:crybaby: Anyone down for a quick run? Or we can go up Saturday and play?

Bummer--if I'd known, I might've gone, assuming my stock rig could make it (??). I just found this norcal thing today.

Maybe we can get a group together for next weekend. I too have a stockish rig with no lockers so I can't go anywhere crazy.

I'm going up to Eagle lakes next weekend with a group from another Toyota site. Were heading up Saturday, wheeling signal peak Saturday night, and EL during the day, possibly Fordyce as well. Anyone wanna join us?

Never been...are stock rigs welcome? (Assuming I remove my factory flaps)

Absolutely welcome, one of the guys coming has a POS Ford. Definitely remove the flaps, or not, so far i haven't had to remove them. Although that one stump tried to steal my driver side rear flap. Either way its going to be fun. I've been up there many, many times, and have NEVER run signal peak. This will be fun no matter what we do.

I will be leaving my house around 4ish pm on Saturday. PM me if you want to come up.

I'm probably in for Saturday, I'll have a definite answer by Friday.

You have been PM'd

I want to go, but my weekends are booked up for the next month or two

I gotta do some maint. First

I need to replace my steering link and put in my OME steering stabilizer. And get and alignment.
Got the last part of my bumper supports welded the other day so other than that I'm good to go!
Although sliders and a skid plate would be nice. I've been a bit rough with my rocker panels and undercarriage.

Can't make it tomorrow, forgot my grandmas 85th bday was this weekend and not next weekend:doh:.

Well, long story short, this run ended up being pretty small--that is, just me! Full disclosure: I'd never been on a 4x4 trail. Ever. But I figured I'd give it a try, and it was pretty easy, even in my stock '91.

I did take off the mudflaps. Also, I opted to leave the tires inflated, as that's the only thing giving my ride clearance! The end result was a lotta dust inside, a little mud outside, and no damage!!

Even though you guys couldn't make it, I'm glad I finally went out and used my cruiser for what it was intended!!

Sorry again David, i feel like a jerk for not calling you before i had to bail. I'm glad you made it out anyways and had fun. Eagle Lakes is a pretty tame trail to run for your first trail.

We got up there around 5pm on Saturday, and ran signal in the dark. That was my first time up Signal peak, and it was definitely a blast. I only have 3 pics from the trip, and all were taken in camp before we ran Signal.
