It is not really an issue with punnishment on rocks..
It is more along the lines of keeping a bead.
The 8" rim will hold the bead better on a 12.50 tire. Plus, if you add a weld on beadlock to your rims you will be adding another inco or so (depending on the weld on beadlock..)

Got a pic of the tires yet?

bling bling

and the wheels. this image X 5 :D

Those are cute little guys ;)

the wheel is a 4"bs Pacer brand, they were 68.86 ea
the tires were 232.50 ea
bought both from a local tire store right next to my business.
will run a 2" wheel spacer, i'll just make them myself.
had to wait 3 weeks for the tires, they just started production on 1/26/04.
i think i'll see if i can exchange the wheels for an 8"er

Those iroc's are pretty sweet.

They had the 49 x 21 on 17 or something at 4 wheel parts wholesalers and those things are FRICKEN HUGE !!

You'll have to let us know how they perform

Peace Out

problem solved. my buddy at the tire store is sending back the 10"ers, and i'll have the 8's Monday. ;)
The world is a happy place again.

Damn! Each one of those tires is one of my student loan payments!!!! Should have dropped out of school! Can't wait to see em mounted up.

my 35's on 15 x 10 wheels. the reason i got 10's was to fill up my 3.5" wider fenders

how long are the irok radials supposed to last?

Mace is right on with this, and you will be happy.

Many a 15x10 wheel, and low air pressure, has let a 33, 35, 37 tire de-seat...

$70 for a black rockcrawker rim that is not even the backspacing that you want seems a bit pricy to me.

a 2" BS 15x10 was like $50 from trailready when I bought my old Beadlocks..

Not that I advocate ordering from 4wheel parts but...

15x8" 5 on 5.5 w.2.5" backspacing $43.98

I know that they are 5 on 5.5 but this is an example...

what is the difference between back spacing and wheel spacer?

Having the wheel made from the get go with the correct backspacing is a far better idea then running wheel spacers. It is just one more thing in the mix that could loosen up, and create issues. If I was going to get new wheels, I would get the correct ones from the start, but that is just me...

Good luck!

correct ones from the start. if i never plan on running anything wider than say 12.5", what would be correct back spacing? same question on 14.5" cuz i haven't decided yet.

These bolt to the hub via the studs, and the wheels then bolt to the spacers..
