I think your right rosco, yes it's a washing machine(put clothes in,water and powder, after 100km clean man) but that's not the place for it :) , i have two spares one underneath but still considering extra fuel tank, idea in the make, then one spare needs to go on top

LJ nice rig man looks mean:):)

You can get a 130 litre tank in the same place as the one you have with no loss of ground clearance,or you can get a 180 litre tank in there that sits just above the lowest part of the diff.
Another option for you might fuel bladders
These are available in 10 sizes from 10 litre to 1000 litre. They have tie down points and when you are not using them they can be folded up and stowed.

LJ71, 30mm spacers, 16x8 80series rims with 0 offset. Wheels sit about 25mm/ 1inch past the steel guards. Ill soon be buying 16x8 rims with a -28 offset so I can replace this setup. Prefer not to run spacers but have never had one come loose either.

Edit: I always carry spare wheel studs. :-)

Nice rig,like a baby 75 series:D

I have been using 50mm wheel spacers on my rear axle to balance it out with the front for more than a year and a half. I have to admit no problems so far despite heavy sand duning and the need to drastically lower tire PSI. Nevertheless, periodic health check of spacers is a must.

Cheers

A bit of topic - would you have any more info on this 130 litre tank? I am not a big fan of these crazy expensive conversions - especially if I can get the same result by carrying two jerry cans costing me 5 EUR, but would be interested nonetheless!

Thanks

Looking through the thread for what brand and where to order spacers? Looking for no more than 40mm total lift for the front end on my 70 series.

What model of 70-series? Leaf springs or coil springs? The spacers discussed in this thread are for widening the track width, not lift. If you have coil springs you can get spring spacers in the 10mm to 30mm range (possibly bigger) on eBay. I am running 30mm spacers with +30mm Old Man Emu lift springs in the front of my Prado, they work great to level it out with +60mm lift springs in the rear.
